We’ve listed a number of pains that we’ve heard about or seen with legacy phone systems.

Number 10: You somehow lost track of all the phone lines you’re paying for.
Number 9: You missed an important call from a prospect and didn’t even know it. Sometimes, you’re nervous about leave your desk.
Number 8: Robocalls are getting through to you more easily than calls from your customers and prospects. You have no way of prioritizing, screening or blacklisting incoming calls.
Number 7: Each of your phones is tied to a specific wall jack within your office. You can’t easily move phones around from desk to desk. You usually have to try to reach your phone guy.
Number 6: You’re afraid to move or even touch your old system. “Old Betsy” might not start up again.
Number 5: You’re tired of paying high phone company bills for featureless lines…. and the cost is only going to keep going up.
Number 4: Each time you pick up your phone, you don’t know if there’s going to be static or not… and the speakerphone button doesn’t work.
Number 3: You have to memorize feature codes to use basic phone functions. You can never find that little cheat sheet when you need it.
Number 2: You need a 17th phone, but your system only goes up to 16. Can you say “hardware upgrade”?
And Number 1: Your phone system guy doesn’t answer his phone. He’s winding down his business and spending more time at the lake these days.
